The Supreme Court by a decision in Jackson v IAG NZ Ltd [2014] NZSC 12 refused leave to Mr Jackson  to appeal from the Court of Appeal decision that his insurance company, IAG, was entitled to decline to cover him for a claim by reason of the application of the dishonesty exclusion in the insurance policy.  Mr Jackson was dishonest for the purposes of the insurance policy when he told the Marchands that insurance cover existed when Mr Jackson knew that he had not placed the insurance cover.
